E85 Hot Rod

posted in: "the total gearhead" garage, news on March 25, 2011 at 12:32 PM

Well I was hangin out doin the day long hot rod chat with a bunch of guys and one guy brought up an E85 conversion. I looked it up and sure enough I found several company’s that produce them. They all appear to be easy installs so… I ditched the 460 for a 351 fuel injected motor. tossed the C6 for an AOD and lost the 3:89 gears for some 2:56’s. I’m building a full fledged hot rod as a daily driver. Economy is just as important as all the mods the truck will have (105 octane doesn’t hurt either). But in my book a full out custom truck is no good if you can’t drive it. So wish me luck. And if you have ever thought about E85 do some more research. Technology has come along way in the last year!!! It may surprise you!

Call Rad Rides for a E85 kit….you might be retrieving your 460 engine.
