I helped refurbish this Northrop F5/A single seater. I was the Avionics tech responsible for the pin assignments, wiring schematics, instrument panel design & cut, final avionics assembly and startup check assist. Avionics included upgraded VHF Comm & Navs, GPS, modern compass systems, and interchangable glass avionics displays. I also got to see the guns removed; it became the location of the junction blocks for the interfacing and nav switching. (Yes I felt like a Jedi after the paint was laid.)
